One of our core missions at DT Cultural Heritage is to be a knowledge resource for the Cultural Heritage digitization community; helping to foster the spread of information and best practices in an industry that too often relies on individuals figuring out techniques and workflows on their own. As part of that ongoing initiative, earlier this year we launched our DT Digitization Certification Training Program to help educate the Cultural Heritage community on the equipment, software, workflows, and best practices associated with modern digitization.
Currently, we have two courses available—DTDC 101: Intro to Modern Digitization and DTDC 201: Operator Training. The 101 course is a fully-online curriculum and can be completed on your own time. All instruction was recorded in English, and English or Spanish captioning is available. The 201 class is an in-person, 2-day training that DT holds multiple times a year, in multiple locations across the country. All currently-scheduled classes are listed on our events page, but new dates are constantly being added. If you’d like to be notified, when new classes are up, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Also, feel free to request a class in your city so we can plan something there in the future.
Graduates of these classes will receive a certificate verifying the level of knowledge they’ve attained and be listed on our DT Digitization Certification Graduates Page to create a public record of their achievement.
We have more advanced—and material-specific—301-level courses coming soon, so keep an eye on our events calendar for updates.
