DT Digitization Certification Program
Our Mission To Provide
Knowledge & Resources
One of our core missions at DT Heritage is to be a knowledge resource for the Heritage digitization community; helping to foster the spread of information and best practices in an industry that too often relies on individuals figuring out techniques and workflows on their own. As part of that ongoing initiative, we have developed our DT Digitization Certification Training Program to help educate the Heritage community on the equipment, software, workflows, and best practices associated with modern digitization.
About Our Digitization
Currently, we have two courses available—DTDC 101: Intro to Modern Digitization and DTDC 201: Operator Training. The 101 course is a fully online curriculum and can be completed on your own time. All instruction was recorded in English, and English or Spanish captioning is available. The 201 class is an online course which covers routine workflows for camera-based digitization systems, from capture to post-processing. Students emerge ready to be operators of modern digitization systems for most non-challenging object types.
Graduates of these classes will receive a certificate verifying the level of knowledge they’ve attained.
We have more advanced—and material-specific—301-level courses coming soon, sign up for our newsletter to receive updates.

“All of Digital Transitions’ educational resources are excellent, and I refer to my notes from the 101 and 201 courses all the time. I learned so much from that curriculum. We love our DT camera systems at the Ransom Center!”
