The Largest Modern Copy Stand

The DT Titan is a complete digitization platform. The stand, camera, and column tightly integrate with our software for fast and easy preservation-grade digitization.

Description

For Every Material Need

Digitizing large material presents a unique challenge to most typical copy stands. From historical maps and oversized artworks, to textiles and elephant folios, finding a surface to support the subject, as well as getting the entire piece in the image sensor’s field of view, can be a struggle. With those specific needs in mind, DT has created our largest digitization system – the DT Titan.

Industry-Leading Design

This is the Heritage industry’s first 40” x 60” digitization system that features the same level of precision, robustness, and workflow integration as the rest of DT’s product line. And because it’s part of DT’s existing digitization ecosystem, it’s also compatible with your current workflowstraining, and camera systems, making it easy to swap between your existing DT systems without any additional effort or expense.

Solid, Precise, and Perfectly Aligned

The DT Titan also features the DT AutoColumn XXL, our tallest automated photo column, which can be controlled from both a remote and from within Capture One CH. This intelligently- controlled column integrates directly with the Phase One iXG and Phase One iXH cameras to provide AutoPPI, allowing the user to set the camera position and focus to a given PPI with one click. This level of integration and automation means you won’t have to break out a ladder to futz with the camera, change a battery, or focus a lens – control entirely from the computer is safer for the material, and safer for the operator.

Built To Handle Your Largest Materials

To aid with the challenge of handling over-sized materials, an optional multi-gated vacuum table can be selected, which is also compatible with the direct or indirect use of magnets to hold down especially difficult materials. Indirect magnet use typically involves mylar straps or filaments held in place using magnets, allowing them to be rapidly repositioned and tensioned without magnets actually contacting the material itself.

Tailored To Your Workflows

As with any DT digitization system, we work with each client’s unique needs and workflow to select the appropriate lighting solution, cameras system, software, and service/support/training to ensure the DT Titan integrates seamlessly into your institution’s workflow.
