The University chose “the best of what the market had to offer.”
In 2017, The University of Rochester needed to upgrade its digitization systems in order to meet modern digital preservation standards. Using equipment designed and installed by Digital Transitions, they were able to not only meet the stringent FADGI-4 federal digital preservation standard, but also able to increase the speed and efficiency of their workflow.
From rare books to fragile manuscripts, the new system allows students easier access to historical texts and collections.
