The 2026 Cultural Heritage Roundtable Is Expanding to Two Days
We have some exciting news for anyone who’s already marked their calendar for this year’s Digital Transitions Cultural Heritage Roundtable: we’re expanding the event to two full days. This year’s Roundtable will now take place Thursday, October 29th, and Friday, October 30th, 2026, each day from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET. As always, the event is free to attend and 100% virtual, open to cultural heritage professionals anywhere in the world.
Why Two Days?
The Roundtable has grown every year, in speakers, topics, and the number of institutions joining us from around the globe. Splitting the event across two shorter days gives us room for a deeper, more focused agenda without asking attendees to commit to a single marathon session. It also makes the event more accessible to colleagues joining us from time zones where a full 9-to-5 day is a tough ask.
This Year’s Theme: Advanced Tools for Heritage Digitization
The 2026 Roundtable will center on the tools, techniques, and technology reshaping cultural heritage digitization workflows today — including artificial intelligence, DT’s own Nexus workflow automation software, and the broader set of innovations changing not just how institutions capture their collections, but what’s now possible in terms of access to information that simply wasn’t feasible before.
We’ll be announcing our full speaker lineup and session-by-session agenda soon. In the meantime, you can register now to guarantee your seat and be the first to know when the agenda goes live.
