What Is DT Nexus 1.0?
DT Nexus is a suite of software tools that integrates directly with Capture One to simplify and automate the most time-consuming, repetitive parts of the digitization workflow — capture, cropping, color profiling, image quality validation, and lighting control.
The goal isn’t to replace expertise. It’s to make the workflow easier to execute correctly, every time, regardless of who’s at the station.
The core idea: replace complex, multi-step manual processes with simple, repeatable ones.
What’s in DT Nexus 1.0
AI Crop & Straighten
Detect, crop, straighten and page split using our AI model trained specifically on heritage materials. For reflective materials, this replaces manual cropping at a rate at least 10x faster, and outperforms both traditional computer vision and general-purpose AI approaches.
Color Profile Creation
Automatically generate ICC profiles from imaged targets in just a few clicks. No more exporting files and running them through separate tools. Compared to basICColor, it requires no technical expertise, stays within your capture environment, and takes less than a third as many steps.
Image Quality Validation
Measure images against FADGI and ISO 19264 standards and get results instantly — without leaving Capture One and without exporting files to a separate QA tool. Compared to GoldenThread, the entire process happens where your work already lives.
Workflow Automation Sequencer
Configure and execute multi-step capture and processing sequences with a single click. Recto-verso naming, raking-light dual capture, and other complex workflows that once required careful manual coordination can now be built once and run reliably every time.
Stellar Light Control
Bring your DT Stellar lighting system into the capture workflow directly. Adjust individual lights in increments as fine as 1/100th of a stop, group lights for easy combined adjustments, and include lighting changes as steps in automated sequences — all from the capture station, without touching the lights.
DT Fusion
Combine blue and white captures to significantly improve color accuracy, especially on materials where standard white-light capture struggles with color rendition. Available as an optional add-on.
Color Negative Inversion
Replace incorrect white-light capture of color negatives with spectrally tuned illumination from DT’s Stellar RGBW light, enabling accurate and consistent automated inversion.

DT Nexus is available as an annual per-seat license at $1,950/seat/year, with volume discounts for teams of five or more. A 90-day free trial is available with full feature access — and we mean it when we say we want you to use it on real work, not just demos.
An Unlicensed (Lite) mode provides limited functionality for free, including Stellar Light Control, Image Quality Validation, and AI Crop detection preview.
DT Nexus requires MacOS OS 15 Sequoia or higher on Apple Silicon (M1 or later), with Capture One 23 installed.
Current Capture One CH customers can bundle DT Nexus with a CH renewal for a 20% discount on their Capture One CH license.
